EuroTransit: New international low-latency ISP connected to LU-CIX

LU-CIX is happy to welcome Global IP Transit and Carrier Services Provider EuroTransit GmbH as a new LU-CIX member, two months after EuroTransit’s participation at the LU-CIX Online Gaming Forum of December 13, 2011.

Claude Demuth, CEO of LU-CIX Management GIE, says that “it is very important for Luxembourg as a new European online gaming hotspot to have an Internet PoP of an European low latency Internet service provider such as EuroTransit”, adding that low latency is key for online gaming companies and real-time games.

EuroTransit GmbH is glad about their presence in Luxembourg and the availability of their portfolio in the LuxConnect datacenter in Bettembourg. “This expansion towards Luxembourg as a valuable ICT location for a lot of companies, fits perfectly into our plans”, Florian Hibler, CTO of EuroTransit says. “For the improvement of our network quality we also took the opportunity to connect to Luxembourg’s Internet Exchange LU-CIX to off-load and collect regional and unique traffic.”
